Duloxetine (Cymbalta): questions for a Dallas medication review

Why is duloxetine prescribed?

Review mood and pain goals separately
Describe what has improved and what remains difficult. If one clinician prescribed the medication for pain and another is reviewing your mood, bring both clinicians’ details so responsibilities can be clarified.
For example, you might want to discuss whether daily activities have changed, whether the original goal still fits, and how progress will be assessed at follow-up. These are questions for a review, not reasons to adjust a prescription on your own.
What should you ask about safety?
Possible effects include nausea, dry mouth, constipation, and sleepiness. Interactions and your medical history affect suitability. Do not stop duloxetine suddenly; withdrawal symptoms can occur. Ask your prescriber or pharmacist before changing it or adding medicines.
