Document what you have already tried

For the consultation, bring whatever treatment records are available. Organizing the history can make it easier to explain your experience without having to remember everything during the visit.

• Medication names, approximate dates, and the instructions you followed.
• What helped, what remained difficult, and why a previous treatment ended.
• Therapy or other care you have received and any ongoing appointments.
• Your main goals for treatment and the questions you want answered.

Safety screening is part of the decision

Tell the team about seizures, implanted devices, and metal in or near the head, along with your medications and medical history. These details can affect whether and how TMS may be used.
