Insurance & TMS in Dallas

The honest answer: we are a self-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. We keep pricing transparent and provide a superbill you can submit to your plan for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Why we are self-pay

When a practice bills insurance, the plan often decides who can be treated, for how long, and only after specific medications have failed. As a self-pay practice, we are not bound by those rules. That means we can start sooner, spend real time with you, and tailor your plan to your history instead of a billing code. It is a big part of what sets us apart, and especially useful for treatment-resistant depression, where insurance step-therapy rules can add months of delay.

Our pricing is flat and transparent: a full TMS course is $3,500, including your assessment with Dr. Clark. Payment is by Cash, Check, Credit card, and ACH bank transfer. See TMS cost in Dallas for the full breakdown.

How superbills work

Even though we do not bill insurance, you may still be able to recover part of the cost through your plan’s out-of-network benefits. Here is how it works:

  • You pay us directly for your care.
  • We give you a superbill — an itemized receipt with the diagnosis and procedure codes your insurer needs.
  • You submit it to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Whether your plan reimburses, and how much, depends on your out-of-network mental health benefits, so we cannot promise a specific amount. It is worth calling your insurer to ask about your out-of-network behavioral health coverage.

TMS insurance: common questions

Do you take insurance for TMS?

We are a self-pay practice, so we do not bill insurance directly. Being outside of insurance lets us give you more of Dr. Clark’s time and build care around you rather than around a plan’s rules. For applicable services we provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is an itemized receipt with the diagnosis and procedure codes your insurer needs. You pay us directly, we give you the superbill, and you submit it to your plan. Whether they reimburse, and how much, depends on your out-of-network benefits.

Will my insurance reimburse me?

It depends entirely on your plan’s out-of-network mental health benefits, so we cannot promise a specific amount. Many plans reimburse a portion of self-pay care once an out-of-network deductible is met. Check your out-of-network behavioral health benefits with your insurer.

Why be self-pay instead of billing insurance?

Insurance often decides who can be treated, for how long, and only after specific medications have failed. As a self-pay practice we are not bound by those rules, so we can start sooner, spend real time with you, and tailor the plan. That freedom is a big part of what sets us apart.

How much is TMS if you do not bill insurance?

A full course is $3,500, which includes your assessment with Dr. Clark. See our page on TMS cost in Dallas for the full, transparent breakdown and payment options.
